Meet Two Times Shy in New Anthem ‘Gone’

Are you ready to meet Australia’s next pop punk superstars? I’m warning you, you won’t be able to get Two Times Shy out of your heads once you give their brand new single ‘Gone‘ a spin.

Blasting in with infectious and ever-so-upbeat energy, the band are pulling at our love for early 2000s pop punk here. It almost comes out of nowhere too, as ‘Gone‘ pushes big momentum with that youthful spirit of the genre which keeps us living. Frontman Douglas Hudswell tells us:

“”Gone’ tells a story of what it’s like to fall apart when the person you love and want to be with is not with you, how you feel when they are gone.”

Throughout its high-energy guitars, the band ignite a new spark which catapults them to the front of the pack. Furthermore, Hudswell upholds iconic frontman energy and could almost share a similar vocal range to 5SOS vocalist Luke Hemmings.

Ever since I came across these Brisbane pop punkers on Spotify a few months back, their debut EP It Looks Better Than It Sounds has been stuck on repeat. In a city where most music tends to thrive at the heavier side of the spectrum, Two Times Shy are helping to shape the future of pop punk alongside fellow Brissie act Waxflower. It won’t be long before they’re joining current leaders Stand Atlantic playing to international crowds either.
