In what is undeniably the biggest news to drop in heavy music world this week, Australian metal pioneers Parkway Drive have dropped a massive tour for their homegrown fanbase.

Kicking on September 20 in Brisbane, the Byron Bay-based lads will take on their homeland over two weekends, six shows, in what is going to be Parkway Drive’s biggest headline tour this side of the world has seen. The shows will be held across some of the biggest venues they’ve played in the country, to celebrate their astronomical success playing together for 20 odd years. Frontman Winston McCall shares:

“Australia, it’s been a while. To be honest, it feels like forever. We didn’t plan it to be this way, but then again we didn’t plan on making it this far in the first place. So here it is, we’re finally back, with the biggest headlining tour we have done, anywhere, ever, full stop. A celebration of a 20 year journey, of the roads we have walked through, the generations, to the path we still define, our own. 20 years, through blood sweat and tears. Still Australian, still unbreakable. Australia, turn the fuck up and make us proud, this is one for the history books.”

Parkway Drive will be joined by some very special guests coming over the USA. They really need no introduction, having played an entirely sold out tour just two years ago. Michigan rock act I Prevail will act as main support, quickly followed by Californian metalcore lords The Ghost Inside. Rounding up the tour will be Melbourne local lads Void of Vision, who are arguably one of the most exciting acts to watch blossom locally and are crushing it with each new release.

Did anyone call this on their 2024 bingo card? I kinda had a gut feeling they were about to announce something special a few days back and I was personally hoping it would be an exclusive secret show in Byron Bay. One can dream though…

Nevertheless, this is going to be one hot little ticket and you best not miss out. Sign up for pre-sale here when they go live on Monday 26 March
