Mest Revel in Nostalgia on ‘When We Were Young’ with Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick

2000s Californian pop punk outfit Mest are having their moment once again. They’ve just unveiled brand new single ‘When We Were Young‘ alongside Bowling For Soup vocalist Jaret Reddick.

While Mest didn’t appear on last year’s edition of the Las Vegas festival, the band’s latest single definitely feels inspired by this huge bout of nostalgia. Blasting straight through with bolstering hooks and a whiney singalong chorus, ‘When We Were Young’ sounds like a slice taken straight out of our high school days. Bowling For Soup’s Jaret Reddick even got caught up in it and just had to jump in with Tony Lovato.

Mest are also set to drop a new album titled Youth on May 31. Consisting of seven tracks, Youth is said to also feature Zebrahead and Ice Nine Kills. Our eyes and ears are wide open for this to come out next month. Pre-save Youth here
