One listen to unpeople’s latest single ‘Going Numb‘ and I reckon you’ll be hooked!
That’s what happened as soon as our ears were exposed to the clamouring drums and chuggy guitars that came on. ‘Going Numb‘ offers up sonically punchy beats, molded together with a tight bassline that straddles between alternative/grunge and a crunchy pop punk melody. Think Four Year Strong meets Trophy Eyes.
The UK alternative rockers unleashed their debut EP on Friday and this might just be the secret worth letting out to your friends. Five tracks of massive riffs and harmonious choruses — it’s made for summer festival singalongs with your mates.
“This song is relatively self explanatory if you read the lyrics. Try your hardest not to bottle up negative emotions. Let them out. However you see fit. Even if you’re scared of how they might manifest themselves, it is almost always better to let it out. Talk to someone. Talk to yourself, even. Just saying things out loud can be half the battle sometimes but I always find it immediately halves the stress by just simply verbalising the issue and facing up to it.
It sure beats going numb.”
