Adelaide’s Heartline may have just dropped the best new single of the week, if ‘Lovers‘ is anything to go by.
Waking up better than your morning coffee will, the track stomps in with ferocious riffs and an unpredictable system of sounds that boil together so stunningly. Vocalist Luke Taylor carries us through that monotonous day-to-day routine in a way that forces us to eventually break out and insinuate a riot against humanity.
“It’s so easy to fall into: wake up, go work a job that doesn’t fulfil or inspire us, go home, sleep and repeat. But when we can break through with our mind’s eye and see all that makes life beautiful and something to be cherished; when we start living with the intention to love – the little things and the big, we find a new direction that is our own – and become a Lover.”
– Heartline
‘Lovers‘ is a boisterous tune that offers a mesh of styles and crushing grooves that solidifies Heartline as an act to watch in the everchanging Australian metal landscape in 2024. The band will debut this song live this weekend opening for Banks Arcade at Brisbane’s The Zoo. Get your tickets here
