Our 2024 bingo card didn’t ask for this, but Halestorm and I Prevail have just unveiled easily one of the more underrated heavy collaborations of the year, ‘can u see me in the dark?‘
It begins by luring us in with a warm and soft melody as Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale leads the way toward a tumultuous soundscape. I Prevail’s Eric Vanlerberghe crashes in towards the back half which delivers a blistering breakdown. Featuring electronic elements interwoven with heavy riffs, the track doesn’t stray too far from material that I Prevail released on Trauma and True Power. However it is, for the most part, a Halestorm single.
Halestorm, having just appeared on Knotfest earlier this way will unlikely make their North American tour with I Prevail an Aussie edition. However, you will be able to catch I Prevail in Australia this September alongside The Ghost Inside and metal juggernauts Parkway Drive. Grab remaining tickets here
