Cull the rumours and band predictions, the real Good Things Festival lineup has finally arrived. Falling on the weekend of 6 – 8 December across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, this lineup is a trip down nostalgia lane, so it’s all sorts of epic and some names may send shockwaves down your spine.
Headlining 2024’s event is none other than Californian nu-metal icons KORN. The band will take to Aussie audiences this December to celebrate 30 years of their self-titled debut LP, which kickstarted their path to the highly-coveted act they are today.
Co-headliners SUM 41 was high on everyone’s prediction list for Good Things 2024, given the band are currently on a farewell tour around the world. Their appearance will mark the Australian edition of Tour of the Setting Sum, celebrating a whopping 20 years of the Canadian pop punkers’ status as early 2000s icons. Expect there to be tears shed, both happy and sad for Aussies alike.
Following the headline acts of Korn and Sum 41, the rest of the lineup is definitely a mixed bag of acts, catering towards metal, rock and indie music fans. German metalcore legends Electric Callboy will make their return to Australia for the third year running, alongside Australian ‘core acts Northlane and Alphawolf, the latter making their debut to Good Things Festival. Given the lads just dropped a killer record earlier this year, you can expect fans to come out in droves to catch them this December.
An act we are freakin’ stoked to see return to Australia for the first time in a long time is Texan pop punk band Bowling For Soup! The boys have not been to our corner of the world in over 15 years, so their appearance on the festival will be welcomed by their legion of Aussie fans with open arms. They’ll definitely send it back to your awkward high school days with their upbeat blend of 2000s pop punk. High School Never Ends, am I right?
Also making way for the emo/pop punk mayhem will be US emo/posthardcore legends Sleeping With Sirens, who’ll be making their return down under once again. Fronted by the iconic Kellin Quinn, the guys are currently on tour in the USA celebrating their record, Let’s Cheers to This.
