US four-piece Haunter are relatively fresh on the alternative/pop punk circuit, who deliver soaring vocals, mixed with thumping, slick pop energy. Citing huge influences from emo nostalgia, this is an act delivering songs worth checking out.
Fronted by vocalist Lucy Lenoir, Haunter is also made up of Enoma Asowata (guitars), Mark Schroeder (bass) and Mike Ray (guitar/synth). The Houston-based band have unveiled their brand new single ‘City Boys x Pretty Girls‘, which offers a fun, slick twist on pop punk that pokes fun at the influencers of LA. Lenoir’s strong pop sensibility heard throughout her vocals doesn’t stray too far from contemporary pop punkers, Honey Revenge and Meet Me @ The Altar.
In a time where all of the humour and fun seems to be taken out of the world, Haunter are here to keep things light and fluffy and will no doubt put a smile on your face. The youthful spirit of ‘City Boys x Pretty Girls‘ acts as a reminder to let your inner emo kid out every once in a while.
