Australia’s brand new festival, New Bloom Festival, is back in 2025 for another whirlwind east coast run that highlights the top acts in the alternative/hardcore/punk community. The Festival will hit Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne over 8 – 10 March.
Heading up the 2025 edition is none other than UK alt/rock outfit Basement, who have developed their pop punk edge into the brooding emo/rock act everyone adores. Joining them also will be Balance and Composure. The US rock act have recently returned to form with their latest record, with you in spirit and New Bloom Festival marks their first return to Australia in YEARS!
Bringing the hardcore and pop punk goodness this time around are California punks DRAIN and Pennsylvania indie outfit One Step Closer. Whilst we’ve been huge fans of One Step Closer since their early EP days, we’re particularly intrigued by DRAIN. Give one listen to ‘Good Good Things‘ below then check out their latest album, Living Proof. We personally cannot wait to see this band light up and bring the pit action on the New Bloom stage next year!
It wouldn’t be a New Bloom lineup without some fresh new acts to add to your playlist either. Fresh-faced emo outfit Sweet Pill give us tantalisingly sweet Paramore vibes, while Glitterer will add plenty of punch and edge with their gritty blend of alternative/rock.
Thanks New Bloom Festival – looks like you’ve put together an all-star lineup. While only one from our wishlist made the cut, the PitPass team reckon all these bands are going to be make for an incredible day out next March.
Tickets are on sale now for all three dates, but here’s a ticketing update for you all: first release is sold out and it looks like New Bloom ’25 is slated to sell out with second release running hot.
