And before you jump to conclusions – no, this is not just another Kellin Quinn collaboration. Haunted Mouths presents us with some of his most personal tracks yet.
The Sleeping With Sirens vocalist has launched a brand new solo project that sounds like nothing we have witnessed before. Haunted Mouths marks a sonic and dynamic shift for the talented musician and first single ‘Further Til We Disappear‘ is here to fully immerse ourselves with.
Opening up with low, distorted tones, this debut speaks to a diverse range of listeners in an intimate setting. Taking elements of indie alternative/rock, Kellin takes a deep dive into moodier melodies and lower vocal ranges.
“That song mentions many of my wife’s favourite things and different things we share. The whole record is a love letter to her. I didn’t want to make a pop album or an acoustic record. It needed to be dark, drony, haunting, but beautiful.”
– Kellin Quinn, vocalist
While it may act as a shock to the system for many who are synonymous with Kellin’s work on Sleeping With Sirens, Haunted Mouths is out to push the artist’s creativity and offer fans an insight into another side of the emo/rock icon of the mid 2000s. Its full-length debut, A Collection of Greetings is a collaboration in partnership with fellow musician and friend Aaron Marsh and aims to demonstrate a passionate body of work that culminates from two guys just doing what they love.
A Collection of Greetings will be available on 14 February through Rise Records.
