In our eyes, Stand Atlantic can do no wrong.

The Sydney alternative/pop punkers are currently midway through their regional run of the country and have dropped new track ‘I’m the Man’ to keep things moving through their ongoing tour schedules. While it does feel like the band have found their calling, vocalist Bonnie Fraser still has a few hidden creative secrets up her sleeve by dropping a song that feels symbolic of last year’s release WAS HERE. Yet ‘I’m the Man’ manages to push Stand Atlantic’s boundaries even further than thought possible.

Lyrically, ‘I’m the Man’ hits all the feels when you’re fed up with people pleasing and it’s a cathartic release of emotions. Stand Atlantic are no strangers to collabs either and similarly to last year’s hit ‘GIRL$‘, this one features US queer alt/pop singer Lauren Sanderson. It’s a fitting union and gives ‘I’m the Man’ a voice for queers across the world.

‘I’m the Man’ is set to appear on the Deluxe Edition of WAS HERE, which will be released everywhere on May 16. Pre-order here

The band recently played Western Australia and South Australia this week and are continuing their regional run with RedHook in Victoria this weekend. The tour finishes with a bang in NSW and Queensland next weekend.
