Boorloo/Perth alt/pop artist CHEZ returns today with her brand new single ‘Bonnie & Clyde‘.
The track is electronically-driven and heavy on the bass while also delivering a sensual listening experience that still manages to combine that edgy punch CHEZ has been known for on past singles ‘So Good‘ and ‘Honey‘. ‘Bonnie & Clyde‘ takes us, the listener, on a joyride of a modern day romance and puts us in the driver’s seat, forcing us to be the catalyst in our own lives.
“I want anyone who listens to this song to feel empowered. That you are in control of the narrative. That you are in the driver’s seat. You don’t need a ride or die. You are your ride or die. I don’t exactly want people to feel like they can’t trust anyone ever again… although if you are currently in that stage of life right now, there’s a reason you are and you are completely valid in these feelings, but once the dust settles and you have that iron-ore trust in yourself, no Bonnie or Clyde could ever A) give that to you, or B) take it away.
And that’s some baddie type sh*t.”

CHEZ has been an emerging artist in Australia’s alt/pop landscape, having opened up for the likes of international heavyweights Set It Off, Scene Queen and just two weeks ago, opened the stage for Canadian pop punkers Simple Plan where she debuted ‘Bonnie & Clyde‘ live in front of an audience for the first time.
If you’re yet to experience the live wonder that is CHEZ’s mesmerising stage presence, October will be your chance. She’ll be on tour with fellow pop icon AVIVA in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. She will also be appearing on 2026’s inaugural Hellbound Cruise the following year.
