President Announce EP, King of Terrors; Listen to ‘Rage’ Now

When Architects announced their epic Australian tour this December on Monday, it almost broke the internet. But if you caught the support acts on the poster and thought, “Wait, who the hell are President?”, you’re not alone. We did some digging and this masked alternative-metal force are just as mysterious and magnetic as they first appear.

The stadium sonic-sounding rock act may have only just broken out just last month at UK’s Download Festival but since their inception in May, they’ve accumulated millions of streams and drawn similarities to the likes of Sleep Token. Their identity may be hidden, but President are amassing listeners at an increasing rate and they’re about to get even bigger with the announcement of their debut EP, King of Terrors, out September 26.

The announcement of this new EP arrives with the band’s latest single ‘Rage‘ which, if you were hoping for a sizzling metal blazer, that’s not what this is. ‘Rage marks a bold shift in sonic direction, leans into electronic textures and industrial-tinged production, weaving in pulsating synths and glitchy rhythms that feel both futuristic and raw. The band’s signature touch still remains though, as the haunting, hook-laced vocal delivery you fell for on Fearless and In the Name of the Father drives the track, which now sits against a backdrop that feels darker, more experimental and oddly hypnotic.

KING OF TERRORS The Inaugural EP.

Forged in solitude. Shaped by memory.
These are chapters drawn from the
shadows we tend to sidestep—
because facing them demands more
than most are willing to give.

.PRESIDENT began as an attempt to
confront the uncomfortable.
To watch others embrace that
confrontation has been quietly profound.

There is still work to be done.
We press forward
.

With the EP set to drop months away from the band’s very first appearances in Australia, you can expect President’s fanbase down under to grow exponentially. If they weren’t already on your radar, they should be because this masked force is fast becoming one of our favorite breakout acts of 2025.

Catch President on tour this December with Architects and House of Protection. Tickets go live on Monday.
