With the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus preparing to release their new record, X’s For Eyes this October, the band have decided to share the album’s title track for us; and this one is shaping up to be a banger.
On this lead track, the guitars are rhythmic, vocalist Ronnie Winter sings with grit and raw emotion and overall, it’s a sonic twist from the band’s more recent releases. Throwing back to the fire of their debut Don’t You Fake It, ‘X’s For Eyes‘ feels like RJA are kicking the door open for a no-prisoners return to form.
What makes this upcoming release even more exciting is the guys have partnered up with Better Noise Music and rounded up the same team as they had for their debut album way back when.
A lot of the people who were behind the scenes back then–working on things like mixing, track sequencing, and artwork–have come back together, nearly 20 years later, to be part of this new album. It feels like a reunion in the best possible way, and if you were a fan of DON’T YOU FAKE IT we think you’re going to really love this album. X’s for Eyes truly has something for everyone, including what came to be known as ‘The Lost Songs,’ songs from our original 2004 pre-signing demo that didn’t make it onto DON’T YOU FAKE IT.”
– Ronnie Winter, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
‘X’s For Eyes‘ is the third single to drop from the upcoming album. It follows previously released tracks ‘Home Improvement‘ and ‘Slipping Through (No Kings)‘, marking a brand new chapter since the band’s 2020 EP, Emergency. The new album is also set to feature collaborations from Sleeping with Sirens and Escape the Fate, which means it goes straight on our must-listen records for the bookend of 2025!
X’s For Eyes will be released on 3 October. Pre-order/pre-save here
