Melbourne pop punk misfits Drastic Park are reaching into their old bag of tricks and delivered new single ‘B+‘. It is the first release from a future upcoming EP that will see the band’s debut EP, Imposter Syndrome reimagined in a new light.
Initially a track that was penned acoustically back in 2021 during the pandemic lockdown (seems like another lifetime ago), the band have ushered in a refreshing new sound on ‘B+‘ and it’s resulted in a blistering, high-octane pop punk number that still manages to represent everything we’ve come to know from Drastic Park.
“We love what the original EP did for us — it connected us with so many fans during a weird, uncertain time — but we’ve never been able to listen to it without hearing all the things we’d do differently now. So we did exactly that. We’ve levelled up our recording, mixing, and songwriting skills, and given these songs the sound they always deserved.”
– John Stokes, Drastic Park vocalist
The reimagined Imposter Syndrome EP will drop 28 August and you can expect more refreshed chaos from Australia’s answer to Blink-182. Drastic Park are set to celebrate this release with a show at Melbourne’s Laundry Bar on 29 August alongside Loose End, Ultravit, Goodbye August and Brisbane boys Grizzlyshark. Grab tickets here
