US pop punk powerhouse All Time Low are back with their brand new record, Everyone’s Talking! A play on word on the band’s consistently good energy they’ve brought to our lives over the past twenty years, their tenth album continues to celebrate that anthemic sound, keeping fans tapped in and poised for whatever the band bat out next.
The record comes in strong with title track ‘Everyone’s Talking‘ offering melancholy goodness that is sprinkled throughout the band’s discography over the years. This time, it comes with defiance and maturity that yeah, these boys know what they like to play and they do it well. While ‘SUCKERPUNCH‘ acts as a cheeky stab in your frenemies’ back and it’s punchy as hell, it’s really the track ‘Oh No!‘ that takes the cake as being All Time Low’s best single of the year. This is one of those lowkey chill but effectively catchy tunes about not giving a flying f**k what others think. Personally, I haven’t stopped singing this since it was released and I’m exited to sing my heart out at Good Things Festival later this year.
It’s honestly hard to find a single flaw on this record when it’s stacked with tracks like ‘Falling For Strangers‘ and ‘Viva Las Vagus Nerve‘. Both hark back to the band’s earlier material, giving big bounce through glossy guitars and big, thumping choruses that feed into your nerves in just the right way. It’s pure dopamine for anyone who grew up screaming along to So Wrong, It’s Right or Nothing Personal. ‘Viva Las Vagus Nerve’ deserves a special mention with its moody entrance. The moodiness grips us all the way through, eventually seeing us dance in the streets like no tomorrow. It’s a magical moment that many All Time Low fans will resonate with.
The most surprising track and collab of 2025 is ‘Sugar‘. While it does sound very ATL, the appearance of noughties R&B artist JoJo is a shock to the system. However, the tune is produced with slick melodies and edge that doesn’t stray too far from the band’s work with fellow pop singer Demi Lovato on ‘Monsters‘ a few years ago. Keeping it ever so sweet is ‘Bubblegum‘, a song that contrasts the light with the dark. The glitzy guitars shimmer through the chorus, bright and infectious, while Alex Gaskarth’s vocals weave themselves into your head, like a stubborn strand of bubblegum caught in your hair. It’s playful yet bittersweet, sugary on the surface but with that classic All Time Low edge bubbling underneath.
While there’s not a huge musical revolution on this album, it really is insignificant because the band are confident in their art and finesse. Consistently straddling the boundary of sultry pop and bouncy punk rock, ‘Little Bit‘ dares the four piece to experiment with garage punk, almost sounding a bit Green Day. Alas, Alex’s pipes blare out through your speaker, egging you on to let your hair down a little bit more. Meanwhile, the guitars on ‘Cigarettes & Sabotage‘ are fresh and is fireproof that All Time Low age like a fine wine.
Upon first listen of this album, it feels like the band have become a little too comfortable with their sound. However, give Everyone’s Talking! a second spin and you’ll find that there is still plenty of omph left in this band’s razorsharp riffs, punchy hooks and undeniable charm. On this record, the pop punkers continue to shed a layer of their vibrant world, revealing something sweeter, brighter, and more self-assured than ever before. It’s a sound that’s sickly sweet, from a band who know exactly who they are and aren’t afraid to keep evolving.
