Superdose Gangway Drop Nostalgic New Single No Reason At All

Adelaide’s own Superdose Gangway are back in the ring with No Reason At All, a pop punk and emo leaning gut punch that lands tomorrow and taps straight into the collective burnout that has defined the last few years. If your playlist is overflowing with Blink 182, Hot Mulligan and that whole heart on sleeve chaos, this one is already speaking your language.

Produced by Lachy Pitcher who you will know from work with TOWNS and Sleep Talk, the track zooms in on a generation staring down a world that keeps missing the mark when it comes to leadership and hope. Frontman Max Tulysewski lays it out in plain terms, explaining that the song has been brewing since the pandemic and sits right in that tension between wanting to act and feeling crushed by the moment. His hope is that listeners take away a bit of softness for themselves and for the people around them.

The single also lands with a cinematic new video from director Pete Williams. It follows a young couple wrestling with the reality of the current housing crisis, all cut between high energy band shots and one very dramatic burning couch that absolutely hammers the point home.

If you want to catch No reason at all live make sure to be at OC Sound Fest on January 24th. The festival celebrates the beating heart of the South Australian punk community and feels like the perfect place for this track to blow open onstage.

Superdose Gangway have been part of Adelaide’s alternative scene since 2015, blending pop punk and Midwest emo elements influenced by their time studying jazz at the Elder Conservatorium. They have released a steady run of projects, appeared on international splits, contributed to benefit compilations and written an original track for the indie film The Last Grind which is now on SBS. They have also built a strong live profile with shows alongside Tigers Jaw, Signals Midwest, Ceres, The Smith Street Band and Press Club plus support from outlets like Junkee and Hysteria Mag.
