A week out from their upcoming SOLD OUT tour, Gippsland boys Ocean Sleeper have dropped a brand new track called ‘Lonely Love‘. The song also features US emo rapper Lil Lotus, who is set to make his live debut in the country next week.

‘Lonely Love‘ is an exemplary display of Ocean Sleeper’s tenacity to produce hook-laden choruses and heavy instrumentation. While it does tread down more melodic, poppier territory with vocalist/guitarist Ionei Heckenberg taking the lead this time, it still packs a punch and shows their music has zero limits. Lil Lotus’ feature only makes this an absolute must for any emo/pop punk playlist.

“We like to creatively explore emotions of sadness and loneliness and express them in a positive, upbeat and fun way to sing along to. This song is a pretty exciting change-up for us as a heavy band, with no lead scream vocals or breakdowns. In the last few releases, we have been exploring with Karl & Ionei singing cleans and doing scream vocals, so this song was fun to just do cleans but still have its big infectious energy.”

Pair this with the band’s last single ‘Heaven‘ and it’s no wonder Ocean Sleeper seems to be selling out every tour of late. They do not disappoint!

The Lonely Love tour kicks off in Perth next Wednesday 24 April.
