Poppy’s diversity and adversity for heavy music continue to inspire us, really. Earlier in the year she linked up with Bad Omens and now she’s making a dark trek down a guttering path alongside Knocked Loose.

 

‘Suffocate‘ presents itself to us with an almost eery music video that caters well to the Knocked Loose brand of utter chaos. The frantic guitars are balanced out with Poppy’s almost subtle vocal work, in turn opening up new musical territory for the band to veer down and ultimately, conquer.

 

“It was so fun because her voice allowed us to expand our palette and do some weird, off-the-wall things that we maybe wouldn’t do in another song. We felt that because we had Poppy’s voice involved, it allowed us to kind of push the boundaries of what we thought was feasible.”
