Just a month from their forthcoming album Violent Nature, I Prevail have shared their fourth single with ‘Annihilate Me‘. This one is an interesting song from the first listen; it begins with a slow guitar melody, building the track with haunting precision until that full-blown release three-quarters of the way through.
“’Annihilate Me‘ feels like one of the most I Prevail songs on the album. It’s about opening yourself up over and over again only to keep getting cut down, but regardless of how many times you’ve been pushed down you’re going to push yourself further – even if that means your own annihilation.”
– Eric Vanlerberghe, I Prevail vocalist
If you were nervous about this next I Prevail album missing former vocalist Brian Burkheiser’s element, we feel like you’re going to want to hold your final judgement until you hear the record in full next month. So far, through previous tracks ‘Rain‘, ‘Into Hell‘ and the title track ‘Violent Nature‘, the band have both shocked us and kept us at bay by never straying too far beyond their signature sound.
In fact, Violent Nature is proving to be I Prevail’s most evolved release yet.
